“RUSH and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush are established leaders who share our commitment to caring for the community. Through this official partnership, we are able to carry out our shared passion for creating a healthier, safer Chicago and celebrating all individuals on the frontlines with an extraordinary baseball experience.”

Brooks Boyer, White Sox chief revenue and marketing officer.

“It’s important for the players to know we have their best interests at heart and that we’re doing things the right way. The only way you can do that is if you have the best medical team. It shows them we’ve got the best possible plan in place to get them healthy and back on the floor.”

John Paxson, executive vice president of basketball operations and former world champion player for the Chicago Bulls.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE AT THE FRONT LINES OF SPORTS MEDICINE

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) offers unparalleled, comprehensive orthopedic services. MOR physicians are team physicians for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, and the Chicago Fire Soccer club; as well as Chicago Red Stars women’s soccer club, Chicago Dogs (independent professional baseball), Chicago Steel (semi-pro hockey), NCAA Division 1 DePaul Blue Demons, Joffrey Ballet, and local high school team coverage.

You will learn to confidently care for athletes and active individuals at every level, from providing pre-participation physicals, to treating on-field injuries, to the evaluation, diagnosis, and non-operative treatment of a full range of conditions. You’ll learn to determine the appropriateness of non-operative or operative care. With a goal of restoring patients to pre-injury function, you will build competence in the diagnosis and management of sports-related injuries and illnesses and also implement wellness programs focused on good nutrition, weight maintenance and injury prevention techniques.

We offer our teams full team physicals which can include a range of motion assessment, strength and balance testing, as well as utilizing our motion lab to capture detailed analysis of their athletic mechanics to bolster their training program.

In addition, the sports medicine physicians were also chosen as the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls since 2004, with Dr. Brian Cole serving as the head team physician.

Since 2016, we have provided coverage for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, with Dr. Brian Forsythe as their head orthopedic officer.
